Paper Mâché Birdy

I have a DIY (Do It Yourself) MS student in art class now. We are tapering her curriculum to her interest and ability.  This week she chose to make an armature bird. The base for the body was tinfoil wrapped in plaster wrap. The legs are floral wire. She chose to embellish the bird with acrylic paint.
This was completed in 2 days. Pretty impressive for an 8th grader! I can't wait to see her AP portfolio in a few years in Upper School!
