Big Bend Habitat for Humanity's Festival of Trees (Music and Art Theme)

For the past 6 years, our Visual Arts Department has been involved in this event. I love how it has evolved for us and grown over the years.

How do we make this happen? Well, we pick a theme for a year. Make sure that art we teach will support our theme for the donation the following year. Last year our them was  incorporating the music aspect into our art. Example, if we studied the color wheel - we would have the students create one in the theme of a musical instrument or a piano - or wherever this vibe took them on their creative journey.

So next year, look for a Veteran themed tree! Can't wait to share that idea and product once we are done, so check back in a year =)
