Lower School Klimt Ornaments For Our Festival Of Trees

It is a tradition with the Maclay Visual Arts Teachers to participate in the Big Bend Habitat for Humanity Festival of Trees. This year our theme was Gustav Klimt. Each division made ornaments to decorate the white tree. We will be posting several times on this subject so you can see how we collaboratively created this unit / theme filled tree for a good cause.
How were these made? Well, lower school students cut out Klimt pieces and placed them on wooded circles. Then then modge podged them and added a long piece of wire with glue to hang them on the tree.

We will have several post to share leading up to our main post of the Festival of Trees here in Tallahassee. Cathy, our lower school art teacher, made these Klimt style ornaments for our tree. They tuned out really awesome.

The links below will share our Festival of Trees post from past years:

These are a sneak peak at the lesson on the tree.
When I think about me being in lower school I think about the cartoons that would come on this time of year and I sure did love The Pink Panther!
