Third Graders loved doing these super-sized turkeys! Look at the picture below to see how "big" I am talking. This is a regular sized pencil. Yeah, pretty big, huh? And guess what? We did these turkeys in one 40 minute class period. I am not lying cause Santa is always listening and I want some good stuff this year.
Directions:
I gave the kids some picture of faces with emotion. Just type in "smiley emotion faces" and about 2 billion will pop up.
The kids put their stools upside down on their paper and traced the stools.
Some chose to make the faces look more like turkeys and some just left the turkeys with round faces.
The kids uses oil pastels on the eyes, snood, and beak.
The kids painted the face with watercolor and then, the background.
L👀K!
It is almost turkey time and these turkeys are full of some sweet emotions!
