First Grade Mixed Media HEARTS! The project turned out pretty cool, but I think it was too big for first graders. I gave them hearts to trace and they should have been smaller. A 2" x 2" heart is big enough, for sure.
Directions:
The kids traced a big heart💙 (prolly 4"x 4"). If you use large hearts💜💛💚, I would suggest them drawing and coloring only 3. Unlimited hearts💙💙💙 was a lovely, hot mess. As I said, it is best to use small hearts💜💜💜.
Once they traced the hearts💛💛💛, they colored with oil pastel.
Then, they painted the background with tempera.
The last thing they did was drizzle paint on their hearts💛💛💛💗💗💗.
