Directions:

1-Show video and have kids draw butterfly with pencil/sharpie or just draw a butterfly on the marker board yourself

2-Kids paint the butterflies with tempera paint or watercolor

3-Teacher cuts out butterflies and puts a bright solid color on back of the butterfly to make it "pop"

 

Kind of a free-for-all, but I loved the results.
