Polar Bears in Georgia?

Did you know there was a such thing as Polar Bear Week?  Well, I did not either.  Unfortunately, you have missed Polar Bear Week this year.  According to Polar Bears International (click here for website), Polar Bear Week was October 30-November 5, 2015.  On the Polar Bear International website, you will find anything you would like to know about polar bears.  During certain times of the year, you can even see a live polar bear on a webcam.  I tell you, Polar Bear International is where it is happening for all your polar bear information needs.

My first grade did these cute polar bears in one class period.  During this time of year, they seem to be more focused on the excitement of Christmas holidays than doing art.  I think they managed to rock this quick little project.

Directions:
Kids draw the polar bears.
They draw a hat on the bear.
They paint the background.
Then, they paint the hat and scarf, if they drew one.
Here's a cute video from Polar Bears International.  The video is filled with good information for kids.  Enjoy the cooooool pictures and cute lyrics.
