Marbleized Paint Poinsettia

Here is a great project for Kindergarten or First Grade.

Things you will need to do ahead of time:
Cut strips of green paper with a paper cutter.
Cut pots using wrapping paper.

Directions:
Have kids marbleize the paper by rolling marbles in red paint in a box or box top.
Let the paint dry.
Then, have the kids cut leaf shapes out of the marbleized paper. (provide example)
Glue your poinsettia on black paper to give it "pop".

Here's PS22 Chorus (The PS22 Chorus is an elementary school chorus from Public School 22 in Graniteville, New York, that is composed of 60-70 fifth-graders) singing "Percy the Poinsettia".
Great performance with a really catchy song!
