Art Club Art
So, for our first art club, we wanted to make an impact on the entire school population. My good art buddy, Laura Harrison, came up with weaving the fence. The fence weaving caused much excitement at drop off on the following morning.
Directions:
Road trip to your local party store and get some plastic tablecloths.
Cut the tablecloths into strips with scissors.
Head to the nearest chain link fence and start weaving.
We did explain to the kids to start with a cross and build out.
Also, we said to keep to the "flower" theme, but sure did not bother to stop the pineapple and eye weave art. (Thanks, Luke and Jolie)
Seriously fun project after school.
The middle school and high school students were very excited when the tiny aftercare kids ran out and were screaming in total amazement.
It does not take much. Just some plastic, time, and some good tunes blasting on the playground.
We probably had 25 kids and worked about an hour.
Tip: It is easier to have a partner on the other side of the fence.
