Step 1: Draw the Nativity Scene
- Start with a light pencil sketch. Draw a large hill shape at the bottom of the paper.
- At the top of the hill, sketch a simple stable structure in the center.
- Add silhouettes of figures like Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus in the manger, animals, and possibly the star of Bethlehem above.
Step 2: Add the Sky Design
- Above the hill and stable, draw large rainbow-like arches or layers that will later be painted in different colors.
- Add stars or other celestial details in the sky area.
Step 3: Outline with Black Marker
- Trace over all the pencil lines with a black permanent marker.
- Ensure the silhouettes, stable, and arches are bold and clean.
Step 4: Paint the Background
- Paint the hill brown or black for contrast.
- Fill the sky layers with vibrant colors (rainbow gradients, cool blues, purples, etc.).
- Add stars in yellow or gold paint/marker.
Step 5: Add Text (Optional)
- Once the paint is dry, students can add words like "JOY," "JESUS," or other meaningful words using markers or paint.
Step 6: Final Details
- Go over any lines with a black marker if they were covered by paint.
- Add final touches, such as more stars or sparkles, using metallic pens or gel pens.
