Clay Totems Spoons Symbolic of Sharing and Telling a Story

Have you tried this lesson? I did and it was a success. I saw some examples on Pinterest. So, basically a totem tells a story. Well, kids like to talk about themselves. A spoon is symbolic of sharing. Hence the Totem Spoon was born into and art project. It should share a story all about you! Can you guess some of the ideas on these totems?

We used low fire clay and fired at 04. We used low fire stroke n coat glaze and fired at 06. I will definitely do this lesson again. What do you all think?
