Spring Break, Random Acts of Kindness and COTA Class (Throwin' ya a bone)

'Tis the season for that crazy time of year! Our COTA Class decided to do something nice for our faculty and staff. We created this "little" goody for a Random Act Of Kindness. We are doing several things here:

1 - promoting The Celebration of the Arts event on April 5, 2019

2 - Cassette tape is in reference to our theme: Hip Hop

3 - Bone, hang on Spring Break is just around the corner

*Teaches our kids eMpathy

How did we do it?

Used slab roller to roll out clay

Used bone cookie cutter

Added texture to clay

Poked holes in the clay

Let clay become bone dry

Fired at 04 on slow to bisque

Glazed and fired at 06 fast

Assembled with twine

Created the 5x7 flyer

Advertised our information

Had students decorate cards a bit

Hand delivered
