End of Semester Fun: Guided Drawing Lesson (Lighthouse)

As the semester winds down and we're all gearing up for some well-deserved relaxation, why not cap it off with a fun and easy guided drawing lesson? We've all been working hard, and what better way to unwind than with some creative expression?

To keep things simple and stress-free, we created a delightful lighthouse scene. It's a lesson everyone can enjoy, regardless of skill level, and it requires only minimal supplies. Plus, we'll ensure minimal mess so that we can wrap up the semester without any extra cleanup hassle.

So, let's gather our supplies:

  1. Paper: Grab some plain white paper or sketch paper from your portfolio.
  2. Pencils: A trusty pencil will do just fine. If you have an eraser, even better!

Diving into the guided drawing lesson was most surprisingly one of the best impromptu lessons that I have taught all year. Students are encouraged to draw a few seagulls flying in the sky, some rocks along the shore, or even a sailboat in the distance. Get creative and make the scene your own! In other words, they can add their own “spin” to this lesson. And there you have it - a charming lighthouse scene that everyone can enjoy creating. Adding your own personal touches was a bonus for all involved.

Everyone has worked hard all semester, and this guided drawing lesson is the perfect way to celebrate their creativity and accomplishments. Here's to a fantastic end to the semester filled with creativity and fun.

Where did I find the video for this? Youtube. See link and information below:

Everyone was successful. These types of  lessons sprinkled in here and there during our block scheduled semester classes have been really great for the students.

So, my point is…if you are looking for a cool idea for the end of the semester, I got you! Try this for realz, 1969
