Norman Rockwell and Earth Day

In this lesson for our Middle School group, each grade level did a project in art class that related to Norman Rockwell. I decided to let 6th grade create Saturday Evening Post Magazine Covers that were Norman Rockwell style and a theme of Earth Day. Love the combination of the lessons together.

Love combining Art History and Earth Day - it made for a great lesson.

We used worksheet to brainstorm and discuss Norman Rockwell and his time period in life. These brought about many conversations in art.

These were hilarious to hear the students take on this particular  part of the worksheet.
