About Todd Parr and His Style
Todd Parr is a master of simplicity, using bold lines and vibrant primary colors to tell meaningful stories. His characters—often children and animals—are outlined in thick black lines and filled with striking, flat colors. Parr’s illustrations emphasize facial expressions and features, showcasing how much emotion and personality can be conveyed with a few carefully chosen details.
In his book Be Who You Are, Parr champions individuality and self-acceptance, encouraging readers to embrace their unique qualities. The book’s uplifting tone and colorful artwork make it a fantastic starting point for creative projects that celebrate diversity and personal expression.
We hope you find this helpful and inspiring for your classroom or creative space! ✨ Don’t forget to give us a follow and check out our free Todd Parr Art Lesson—it’s a colorful and fun way to spark imagination and individuality.
