Folks, I do love this paper sculpture project by my sixth graders. They really did a great job. The sculptures are based on the art of Jean Dubuffet.
How did it go down?
I showed a few videos on YouTube about Jean Dubuffet.
I provided the following instructions:
· Use markers to draw on 8 pieces of (4 x6) paper
- Make line designs similar to Dubuffet-You can use whatever colors that you would like
Examples of Line:
· Outline each of the 8 pieces of
paper with BOLD OUTLINES
·
Make small cuts in the paper and connect the 8 pieces together
·
Put small amounts of glue so the sculpture will
stay together
