Crabs done by 2nd Grade just in time for the beach!  Kids love getting flashlights and spying on crabs at night on the beach!  It sure is hard to see crabs in the daylight.  But, lookie here!  You can see these awesome crabs anytime you like! Click HERE for more Crab Posts!

Meet Superhero Bob Ross and Superhero Donut and a few others…

These Superheros crack me up!  My favorite are Superhero Bob Ross, Superhero Donut, and Superhero Whopper!

The project was done by fourth grade.  I left the project wide open to see what they kind of Superheroes that they would pursue.  Of course, lots chose the traditional Superheroes that we see on the big screen.  Click HERE for another Superhero Post!

How did this go down?

They thought a minute and drew a rough draft.

They drew on their “official” drawing paper.

They painted.

I’ll Have a Scoop of Strawberry, Blueberry, Cherry, Peach, Watermelon Ice Cream…And a Banana on My Ice CREAM SUNDAE!

Who doesn’t love an ice cream sundae?  Fourth grade SURE did a great job on their sundaes!

How did this go down?

I gave the kids a handout for ideas of sundaes and type of glasses that would hold the sundaes.  Handouts are good like that!

The kids drew the ice cream sundaes with a pencil.

The kids colored the ice cream sundaes with oil pastel.

The last thing they did was put a LIGHT wash of tempera paint over the ice cream bowl or sundae glasses.

This was a 3 week project. (3 class periods)

It was sweeeeet!

A Screaming Emoji Sun and Other Emoji Suns!!!

The Smiley Emoji Suns were a lot of fun for second graders.  We were getting excited about summer break!

I gave the kids a sheet with emojis.  The kids drew the suns.  The kids painted.

Sneak Peak At 2 Soul Sisters Art Camp (And How It Got Set In Motion)

My sister, Mrs. Daniel, lives in Tallahassee, Florida.  She is an art teacher at Maclay School.  I am the big sister and most of you know that I teach art at The Westfield School in Perry, Ga.  Between the two of us, we have been teaching for 60+ years!

At this camp, you will be doing some awesome art that you can take home and display for everyone to see!  You may even see the sisters have a few squabbles.

Of course, Bertie, my English Cocker Spaniel therapy dog, will join in on the fun!
