I was in the Lower School Art Room and saw these wonderful Wheatfield and Crow drawings made with oil pastels and colored construction paper. I told Cathy (Lower School Art Teacher) that I thought they were very neat and I wanted to blog on them. Her 4th graders did a fantastic job with their details. In this lesson, she discussed the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design when it was appropriate. The details are amazing. WE are doing a deep dive this year in the study and incorporation of The Studio Habits of Mind. Our philosophy is that if we do this then maybe some of the gaps of the pandemic with be filled in quicker to get our students back on track! I found a few really good blogs on them.
