Yes, I am that teacher that likes to do mini book binding units. I started this after I finished my Masters program in Art Education. I had taken several handmade paper and bookbinding classes and this was just always a go to art lesson for me to teach. Here is a link below that you can see what you could order in a kit:
Cover-it Mini Accordion Book Kit
What does this kit contain? This huge kit contains enough materials to make 72 mini accordion-fold books for kids to give as gifts, trade with their friends, or just create personal keepsakes. The pre-scored 10-panel strips help children make precise accordion folds, so they can get right to work covering and decorating their books. The finished books measure approximately 2-3/8" × 1-1/2" (6 cm × 3.8 cm). The kit also includes 300 sheets of origami paper to use as book-covering material. All components are recycled and recyclable. Made in the USA.
We have blogged on other book binding units here:

Circle Shape Books in Middle School 3D Art Class
Students are allowed to create the inside as they see fit. I encourage them to use this model in other lessons like for presenting book reports and other types of project based lessons. Hope this helps spark a bit of inspiration for you! Thanks for stopping by - 1969
