Distant Learning-Rainbow Construction

As always, I am impressed that my art teacher friend - Cathy - stepped up to the challenge again with our vastly changing art curriculum as we shifted to online learning / teaching. She was able to teach this lesson with her Pre-K students.

Someone just shared this link with me about Rainbows:
http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20200409-rainbows-as-signs-of-thank-you-hope-and-solidarity

The article was spot on and I loved this line from it, "Now, as schools, playgrounds and museums fall empty, the world’s children are using a rainbow symbol to remind us all they are here, hidden away but hopeful."

Cathy you sure have remained CONNECTED to our students and I am super happy you have because they are still learning and doing a great job growing those creative juices!

Rainbows (Original Song 2020) by Paul Mayo

This song is dedicated to everyone in the world who is in self isolation and especially to all healthcare and Key workers who are working around the clock to bring order and survival to each and every one of us. This is a strange time for everyone and once the world gets through this, we will recognize the unique and unusual opportunities that we have been presented with. We have been resourceful and resilient. We have ironically developed a sense of community, even though the version of 'community ' that we are so familiar with, has been taken away from us. We are seeing record levels of kindness and respect for one another. The collective consciousness we are all experiencing is unlike anything in our lifetimes and despite there being obvious challenges, pain and heartbreak associated with this pandemic, we will survive it emotionally by supporting one another. Let's carry on entertaining one another throughout this pandemic. Let's try and continue to make one another smile. Stay home - Save Lives!

Thought this was the most perfect way to end this post!
Thanks Paul Mayo and Cathy Hicks
Both of you are helping other's smile with your RAINBOWS!
