Remember I told you guys to stay tuned and we would be using these turkeys for another project. What turkeys? The ones from yesterday's post. See link below:

We found another way to reach out to the community with our art work. Like the link above states. We made paper mache turkeys then we photographed them. Printed them out 3x5 and cut out to paste on card stock paper that we had folded in 1/2.
Now our friends at the Red Hills Village can each receive a card from our class. Yes, everyone loves to get mail, right?
It is good to go cross curricular with these lessons as they scaffold into other teachable moments.
I am not sure why kids kept wanting to paste on pink paper, but we just went with it.
Do your students write in your classes? If so, comment below and let us know how you incorporate that into your lessons.
Ok, the paper mache turkeys were just soooooo cute!
Ahhhh....we hope you have an amazing holiday season to - not just Thanksgiving.
Y'all sometimes I just forget what holiday it is as we have to work ahead. You know what I am saying. Like to do Halloween you need to work on it a month ahead. Do ya feel me?
Love the explanation on this one.
