Printmaking with Unicorns, Cats, Dogs, Peace, and Other Stuff

The middle school really enjoyed this printmaking project.  The process was quite tedious, but the results were worth it.  Fun art project = Happy šŸ˜ Kids!

Directions:

The kids use gelli (Click here for Gelli Plate info) plates and made 12 prints each.
The prints were 6" x 6".
The kids drew their choice of a subject (cat, football, unicorn, dog) on the 18" x 18" paper.
The kids used the light table to trace and cut the prints and glue them on the 18" x 18" paper to fill in the subject.  This part of the project was the hardest.  Three kids per time could share the light table.
Once they had the subject filled in with the printed papers, they rolled black paint on the bubble wrap and created a background.
When the background was done, they outlined the total subject with black paint.

LšŸ‘€K!

The students really had to try hard on this project...Reminds me of this Coldplay song....
