Paper Mache has become an integrated part of learning for children. It is derived from French and means chewed paper. Paper Mache is a process in which you would wet the paper in to the desired object and let it dry. There are many forms of paper mache. We used the plaster strips due to I teach on a wheel and I try to maximize my time in a 9 week quarter.
How did we make these balloons? We used balloons, water, plaster strips and paint. How did we create these these bowls? We blew up a balloon. Wrapped the balloon with plaster 1/2 way up. wrote our name on the balloon at the top. Let dry overnight. Once dried, we had a plan on painting the bowls.
