Cock-A-Doodle-DO! First Grade had a great time drawing and coloring their roosters. The kids were free to use oil pastels and crayon. For some reason, the moms always love the kids' rooster projects.
Directions:
The kids traced a yogurt top with an oil pastel for the belly shape.
I drew on the board and the kids followed along as I drew.
The drew with a pencil and then went over with an oil pastel.
Then, they colored the rooster with an oil pastel.
I suggested that they color the background with crayons.
Have a look!
Elvis liked Roosters, too! 😏
