To "brush up" on our collaborative skills, 2nd Graders made pizza. I guess it is safe to say that the pizza is gluten free. Ha. Honestly, the pizza looked good enough to eat. As the kids went through the assembly line picking pizza toppings, I felt like we were doing art "buffet style". As many of you can surmise, this activity is not for the teacher with an aversion to chaos.
Directions:
Teacher Prep Work: Cut slices of pizza.
Hook up a glue gun for the teacher.
Provide a table with various supplies.
Supplies included:
felt
pom poms
pre-cut foam circles
yarn
construction paper
beads
scissors
Elmer's glue
Let the kids pick and choose their pizza toppings. If items need to be glued with a glue gun, kids get in line and wait their turn. I mean, we always have to wait on pizza at Pizza Hut, right? Why would classroom pizza be any different?
Here are a few slices!
Thinking about pizza makes me hungry and makes me think food. The best food band is The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Hey, did you know they are releasing a new song on Thursday, May 5, 2016. The title? Bare Necessities
I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers. "Dani California" has over 74 million views. Wow.
