Mixed Media Butterflies in the Sky Art Project

How about a fun mixed media project for spring? This one lets the kids try a little bit of everything!

Here’s what we did:

• The kids drew fluffy clouds with oil pastels on blue construction paper.
• They used oil pastels again to create colorful flowers.
• Next, they made butterflies by twisting and tying paper with pipe cleaners.
• Finally, the kids glued the butterflies onto the blue paper to complete the scene.
