Festival Of Trees Art Education Themed Wreath

For the past several years, our Visual Arts Department has been involved in this event. I love how it has evolved for us and grown over the years. We have 4 art teachers at Maclay: Kim Daniel, Cathy Hicks, Sarah Painter and Kaitlyn Dressel. Everyone had a hand in this wreath. This year we chose an animal / pet theme. What do you think? Different divisions taught creative lessons from printmaking to pop art for us to have animal art to print to laminate. We printed 9 at a time (wallet sizes). Laminated them and cut out used hole punchers to add wire to hang. I do believe this is my all time favorite wreath so far!

Check the links below to see how we still teach our curriculum but make this project an added bonus!

Here are our other post on the Festival of Trees and our participation:

These were paw prints were created with a stencil and sharpie!

How did we get these circles? Well, LS Art Teacher - Cathy Hicks created these Donuts for Dudes and the circle in the middle. See the other blog post for that information:

These are clay circles. How did we add color? click this link to find out:
