You would never know by looking at your computer or your cell phone, but these peace signs are pretty large.
You may notice that all the "Peace" signs are red and green.
Well, yeah, that was planned.
I wanted these to hang in the hall at Christmas because we had a hippy thing going in our foyer.
I think they are too busy.
Some of the colors are just awful.
I think a white background would have been better, but then you got so much smearing from oil pastels.
So, I guess white paint in the background would have been a better choice.
Acrylic paint, that is.
It was my fault they seemed to clash.
But, live and learn.
I have been teaching 30 years, but I still learn something new every day...from kids, adults, and by doing ART.
Directions:
Kids traced a peace sign on their paper.
Told them to use oil pastels to fill in the peace sign.
We watercolored the background...uh, MISTAKE.
That's all, y'all.
LšK!
It is December 18, 2019. We are in the midst of the Christmas season AND Peace on Earth and all that.
Peace is hippy, but there is more to peace than coolness. The PEACE I am talking about is the religious kind of PEACE that you get with Jesus in your heart. A lot of us have some Jesus in our š, but we struggle daily with letting it flow and having PEACE in all things.
Folks, Let it FLOW and Let it GO!
Let HIS šššL O V E ššš flow.
