Food Printmaking! How?
The kids used Balsa Foam. A class pack of 40 Balsa Foam will run you about $50+. The blocks we used were 4 1/2" x 6" x 1/2". Click HERE for where you can purchase Balsa Foam. The Balsa Foam looked like this:
The kids decided on what food that they would like to print. They drew the food. I make their drawing the appropriate size by using the copy machine. On most of the drawings, I had to increase the size a bit.

Next, they carved. They printed. I let them get creative with their printmaking. I stood over their shoulders, but really just watched them experiment. The results were pretty cool.
