I was scrolling through my personal Instagram account the other day and ran across this puzzle heart lesson from 2art.chambers Instagram account and wanted to try it with my Maclay Middle School Art Club. I think it was a huge success. Lots of elements and principles and techniques in a jammed packed hour art club!

9x12 white paper
Sharpie
Assorteed Watercolor
Water bowls
Painter's pallettes
Salt
Paint brushes
Pencils
We discussed watercolor techniques.
Got a plan for a heart.
Drew in pencil.
Outlined in Sharpie.
Created patterns / Zentangles
Water-colored the background.
