Ok, so 1969 did a post on February 13, 2015, on W. Kevin Murray Art. Here's the link for some background information-1969 W. Kevin Murray Post She did the project with her middle school students. I decided to try it last week with my second graders. I really think they turned out great.
Directions:
Show kids a picture of W. Kevin Murray Art.
Have kids pencil sardines on watercolor paper. I did approximately 5" x 5" pieces of the "real" paper. I wanted them to see that paper can make a difference.
The kids painted the sardines various watercolors.
The kids outlined the fish with oil pastels.
