Easy and Fun Batik with Andy's Flowers!

 

Directions:

 

Give kids a copy of Andy's flowers.

Have kids draw flowers with Oil Pastels.

Have kids crumple up paper. (always freaks kids out)

Have kids put a wash over the flowers. (watered down tempera)

Let dry for 5 or 10 minutes.

Go to the sink and wash off the paint very carefully!  The paper with tear on you in a NEW YORK MINUTE!  You can't rush this project, so don't even...

 

Seriously cool project.  Lots of oohs and Ahs.  These photos just do not give the true BAM-BOOM of this art project.  You will just have to imagine, like John Lennon did in 1971.
