Art & The Tallahassee Brain Injury Association

Hello! Well, this blog is a little bit of this and a little bit of that...so I wanted to post on a workshop that I had done with 2 friends. We were asked by The Tallahassee Brain Injury Association to come and present a workshop in Orlando, Florida for clients at their annual Jamboree Family & Forum. So, without hesitation- we jumped at the chance!  Read below to learn a little more about BIAF. The artwork and experience from this trip and workshop were both amazing.  You can see for yourself with the photos. We did a self portrait printmaking project using acrylic paints. We used watercolors and masking fluid to create a fun resist work of art. As an art teacher, this workshop was so fulfilling to see the parents, clients and staff all interact together!

The mission of this Association is to improve the quality of life for persons with brain injury and their families by creating a better future through brain injury awareness, prevention, research, education, support services, and advocacy.
