2 All Beef Patties and Printmaking

Food Printmaking!  How?

The kids used Balsa Foam.  A class pack of 40 Balsa Foam will run you about $50+.  The blocks we used were 4 1/2" x 6" x 1/2".  Click HERE  for where you can purchase Balsa Foam.  The Balsa Foam looked like this:
The kids decided on what food that they would like to print.  They drew the food.  I make their drawing the appropriate size by using the copy machine.  On most of the drawings, I had to increase the size a bit.

Next, they carved.  They printed.  I let them get creative with their printmaking.  I stood over their shoulders, but really just watched them experiment.  The results were pretty cool.
