Collaborating and Creating Haiku!

When a fifth grade teacher (Donna Kelham) approached me about this project, I thought it was a super idea!  The students were writing Haiku poetry.  Donna talked with me about the students making artwork to go along with their poems.  I thought the project sounded like fun!

When the kids came to class, they had a basic idea of what they wanted to produce.  They drew their pictures lightly with pencil on watercolor paper the first week.  In the following week, they filled in with watercolor paint.

Donna mounted the artwork and poetry on construction paper.

L👀K!
Here is a pretty song that is also pretty poetry by my son, Rob Ray.  Enjoy.
