5th Grade Free-Styling Peter Max Flags

The 5th Grade made these Peter Max flags.  Oh, I love them so!

Now, will the real Peter Max, please stand up?
Who doesn't love Peter Max?

Color is everywhere.

Directions:

Talk about Peter Max, of course.
Then, tape a small triangle to a large triangle.
(Awesome kid below)

Once the rectangle is in place, start painting.

I encouraged the kids to put a base coat of paint on and then, come back and put details.  Also, I suggested that they blend tints and shades on the artwork.

The second week of class, the kids painted a flag on the artwork.  Some kids wanted to get rulers.  I said, "Sorry kids, we are free-styling these flags."

Once the red, white, and blue was down, we used a stamp and a spouncer to create the stars.

Feeling happy just looking at these fun flags!
