Kim, Kyle & Cathy - Maclay Visual Arts

Blessed to work with a great Visual Arts Team this past semester at Maclay School! This is a super cool bulletin board Cathy (Lower School) Art Teacher created for the Maclay students upon their return to school after the Christmas Break. 3-D board inspired by Van Gogh. Love it! Can't go wrong with Vincent in the winter! Thanks, Cathy, for guiding me in the Maclay way as I got settled in the Middle School Art Room. You are a true blessing. I love the way your elementary curriculum spirals into mine in middle school.
As I entered the next chapter of my 24th year of teaching, I was lucky to share the McKenzie Center at Maclay School with Kyle (Upper School) Art Teacher. She inspired me and my 10th grade daughter this past semester. This lesson is of our iconic Oak Tree on Maclay's Campus with a Sonia Delaunay twist to it. Great canvas lesson and everyone was successful. I have watched Kyle do great things to grow the Upper School Art Program. I love her ideas and that we are so compatible as we spiral curriculums and use each other as a sounding board!

Looking forward to great things for all of our Maclay art students in 2015! Here is to our Visual Arts AdVeNtUrE...it is going to be ever so fabulous!

And let me get an AMEN to that =)
Merry Christmas!
