long live jarritos!

by karen #1965 third grade teacher so you see we had this cinco de mayo party at school on may 5...and the room moms brought in mexican food and drinks...the drinks were jarritos...they looked like this...

and the kids loved them...one kid said, "my mom never lets me drink out of a bottle."....so anyway...we celebrated...we ate and drank and made merry...and the kids started begging to take the bottles home...and we decided that the kids did not need to take the bottles home...i mean, some of them would be on the bus...blah blah blah....so we were mean teachers and said, "no, you cannot take the bottles home."...and they left with much sadness..not really...and then...imagine this...a little light bulb came on in my head and i thot...hmmmmmm...my chevy chase daddy that we call "bobo" might fire all 26 of these bottles for me...and the kids could paint on them at our end of year party...well, we had a cool end of year party...the kids got to fish, ride a pontoon boat, slide on 2 ginormous slip and slides, and do some art, baby!...we flattened those bottles and the kiddies got to paint whatever on them...check them out...

so far, these bottles have brought these kids pleasure twice (drinking and painting)...when i return them to the kids tomorrow, they can enjoy them forever...
