A Bad Case of Stripes-Children's Literature and Art Activity

A Bad Case of Stripes, by Sean Astin, is a great book, especially if you teach art!

How did it go down?

Prep work:
1-Cut out strips of construction paper
2-Take each child's photo and run a copy

I cut strips of construction paper.  The kids got strips of construction paper.

The kids glued the strips down a piece of construction paper.  I used black, but the color does not really matter.

The kids cut out body shapes and glued them down.

The kids drew patterns on their body and glued their heads on it.
